Neil Corbett has been a journalist for more than 30 years, the past decade with the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows News. He moved to the city in 2012. Corbett has worked at community newspapers in Abbotsford, Mission, Hope, and Williams Lake, as well as in Ontario ' serving as an editor and reporter. Along the way, he has won various national journalism awards, and been part of successful news teams. In Maple Ridge, Corbett is a general news reporter, and has covered a variety of beats including education, sports, Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge city councils, and political issues at the federal and provincial levels with local impacts.
