Water quality continues to improve in Lake Country

Water quality advisory lifted on Kalamalka Lake Source

The District of Lake Country in conjunction with Interior Health haslifted the water quality advisory on the Kalamalka Lake Source effective immediately.

New infrastructure built under the Kalamalka Interconnect Projecthas enhanced the safety of the drinking water for Lake Country residents who use the Kal Lake Source.

According to the District of Lake Country, the project added ultraviolet treatment that served as a primary disinfection step in addition to the chlorination process.
