Small shop Saturday coming Sept. 28 to Lake Country

Businesses taking part in unique event designed to promote the local shops

Small Shop Saturday is coming to the Lake Country.

The Lake Country Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Lake Country Calendar in presenting a unique opportunity for the business community and all residents and visitors to Lake Country.

Lake Country stores will be showcasing their businesses, offering promotions and special deals throughout Lake Country on Sept. 28.

"As shop local campaigns are an integral part of any community we invite everyone to come out on the 28th and pick up you’re shop local passport and start visiting the businesses on the map to receive a stamp in your passport," said Lake Country Chamber of Commerce executive director Corrine Cross.

"Your stamped passport is your entry to win great prizes. No purchase is necessary but we do want people to visit and be aware of all the great businesses in our community."

The small shop Saturday event is designed to create a buzz and excitement in Lake Country and have people become aware of the great products and services in the community.

Retailers will have balloons and specials and great promotions for all to enjoy. Some businesses that do not have a retail location will be set up in a vendor area at the bottom of Hill Road across from the Lake Country Kangaroo Farm.

Everyone is invited to come out and be a part of the event on Sept. 28.
