Police watchdog investigating death in Lumby

B.C.’s police watchdog is investigating a death that took place in the North Okanagan.

The Independent Investigations Office of BC (IIO) is probing the death of a person in Lumby.

The IIO released scant information about the investigation, saying only that the incident occurred on Dec. 18, 2023, and allegedly involved the RCMP. No further details were provided.

The Morning Star has reached out to the IIO for more information.
