Lake Country groups can pursue federal funding that creates economic opportunities for women.

The federal government has initiated a call for projects to expand the number of women in non-traditional roles.

“I encourage all interested organizations in our riding to apply and help make a difference for women and girls in our community,” said Ron Cannan, Kelowna-Lake Country, MP.

“Through this call for proposals, we will empower more women to succeed and prosper in non-traditional roles," said Rona Ambrose, minister for the status of women.
