The RDCO has issued a warning for residents

Customers of the Killiney Beach water system may notice some cloudiness in their water.

RDCO Environmental Services staff says there is slightly higher turbidity in the water as they have been testing a new pump at the system’s Winchester Road pump house, according to a news release.

If customers notice some discolouration in their water, they should run the cold water tap until the water runs clear.

Customers should also note that testing of the pump will take place again on Thursday morning and should they see any discolouration in their water that day they should follow the same procedure.

Approximately 280 properties are connected to the community water system off located off Westside Road.

The Regional District provides water to just over 950 properties in the following areas: Falcon Ridge, Killiney Beach, Sunset Ranch, Star Place/Dietrich, Westshore and Upper Fintry - Shalal Road - Valley of the Sun.
