One of Opera Kelowna’s signature events returns to sparkle for audiences this summer.

Opera Under the Stars (OPUS) promises an unforgettable evening of musical enchantment.

Hosted by Rosemary Thomson, and presented by Pushor Mitchell LLP and UBC Okanagan (UBCO), the free concert will feature a selection of operatic arias, ensembles, and musical theatre pieces.

The evening will showcase the talents of four singers, baritone Jason Cook, tenor Martin Renner Wallace, mezzo-soprano Stephanie Tritchew, and soprano Kelly Coubrough.

“OPUS is an event that welcomes everyone to share in the extraordinary power of music,” says Thomson. “Moving this event to June allows us to connect with our community at the start of the summer season.”

The performance begins at 8 p.m. on June 27 at the UBCO campus with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. for pre-show socializing.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs and their picnics.

Attendees can enhance their experience with the OPUS Elevated Experience. Priced at $80, it includes reserved seating, access to an exhibition at the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies, and a pre-concert reception.
