Emergency training taking place at Kelowna airport

A large number of emergency vehicles and personnel will be on site all week

The Kelowna International Airport is will be filled with action this week during emergency training.

YLW partners, such as the RCMP Explosives Disposal Unit, will be at the airport conducting live emergency exercises.

The focus of these exercises is to demonstrate how multiple and diverse agencies can be integrated to respond quickly and effectively during a major event.

The public can expect to see a large number of emergency vehicles and personnel on site.

There is no risk to public safety. Airport operations are expected to continue as normal.
