Antique shops offer a wide variety of old treasures, while thrift stores give quality goods a second chance. Clothing and jewelry stores display their wide selection of products that make it a new experience on every visit.

Take a stroll down the recently revitalized 30th Avenue, with expanded sidewalks, plentiful benches and shady trees.

On June 16, the Downtown Vernon Association hosts the Sunshine Festival which features live entertainment, activities for all ages and sidewalk sales. This event offers something for everyone and shouldn’t be missed.

For added entertainment value, the Civic Sounds concert series will feature free musical entertainment in the civic plaza near the library and museum at 7 p.m. every second Thursday in July and August.
