The Central Okanagan Hospice Association (COHA) is hosting a free seminar for parents, caregivers and professionals supporting children and youth who are grieving.

The Supporting Children Through Grief and Healing workshop features three COHA speakers; Amy Van Dongen, art therapist, Ian Kunitski, director of programs and services, and Shawn Cook, grief counsellor.

“The death of a loved one is one of the most stressful events a child or youth will ever experience,” explained Kunitski. “Providing our community with the tools and resources to help a grieving child can help families feel connected and moved forward together through this difficult time in their lives.”

The workshop takes place at the the Ramanda Hotel (2170 Harvey Avenue) on Wednesday, June 12 from 10 to 11:30 am.

More information is available on COHA’s website.
