The last Sunday in June is fast approaching and Gibson Heritage House is ready to welcome everyone to the annual Strawberry Tea.
It is part of the Gibson Heritage House Centennial Celebration.
The Strawberry Tea has been a part of early summer in Lake Country for just over a decade. Usually about 100 people come out to enjoy the tea and activities on the lawn in front of the now-100 year-old Gibson House.
This year artisans have been invited to display their creations to guests. The art will feature an extraordinary’ collection donated by the Gibson family for this year’s tea.
The Regional District of the Central Okanagan, which operates Kopje Park, where Gibson House is located, has also invited exhibitors to set up family-friendly booths that show the history of the Okanagan.
The goal of the displays are to celebrate history and the art community in Lake Country. The tea and afternoon at Gibson House is a fantastic opportunity to meet neighbours and see the fabulous contributions of creative Lake Country residents.
