A Food Bank benefit is planned for this weekend at IGA. The event is being billed as the annual Joel Reimer Memorial Fundraiser.
“I’ve known Joel’s Dad Terry for years as a long-time customer. This is the second year we’ve done this,” says Manager Kevin Kothlow, explaining his connection to Joel.
The event kicks off at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in the parking lot of IGA.
The A&W bear will be on scene welcoming guests and posing for pictures with the kids. Smokies, hot dogs and pop are on the menu and the cost is a donation to the Food Bank.
At 12:00 Patio Daddy-O will amp up the excitment in the town centre with live music lasting until the fundraiser wraps up around 3:00 p.m.
A raffle with great prizes such as a microwave, a Nintendo Wii, and more, as well as a fifty-fifty draw round out the festivities.
