After months of learning about careers and the job industry, the grade eight students at Rutland Middle School were put to the test on Thursday, June 8.

As the last few months have gone on, the students have learned about different fields to work in, how to write resumes, proper job interview etiquette and more.

On Thursday, as one of their final assignments, the students had to take part in a job interview.

The school had 16 volunteers come to the school to conduct the job interviews and mark how the students did while giving critical feedback. This provided the students with real world experience before experiencing the real thing in the future.

All the eighth graders took part in the exercise, with many showing strong interview skills, making the future in Kelowna bright.
