A local video project titled Be Seen, highlighting pedestrian safety, enlisted the help of the Lake Country community.
The production involved more than 40 community members to emphasize the point that pedestrians should wear light-coloured, reflective clothing and always walk facing traffic where there is no sidewalk.
Also, headphones should not be worn as they can prevent pedestrians from hearing when a vehicle is coming.
Produced in conjunction with the Lake Country Rotary Club, Lake Country RCMP and Erik Madsen Productions, Be Seen is a 30 second video bringing awareness to pedestrian safety. The local volunteers donated approximately five hours of their time on a Friday evening to make the clip.
To assist with this initiative, the Lake Country Rotary Club donated over 6,000 reflective arm bands which will be distributed throughout the community.
