The popular Polson summer market is geared up to Sleigh All Day as it takes over Kal Tire Place Dec. 8 to 10.
It’s the first time the Polson Artisan Market has hosted a Christmas holiday event, and organizers are ensuring it’s a magical experience with more than just 120 hand-crafted gift vendors.
The market extravaganza will see admission go to the Girl Guides to take a trip to the East Coast next year.
Boy Scouts are wrapping presents and of course Santa is coming to the market. He will be on hand for photos Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 1:30 and 2:30 to 4 p.m.
Cycle Without Age will be giving sleigh rides around the mezzanine, the Seaton choir is singing Friday night and DJ Missdemeanour is spinning Saturday evening.
“We’re working really hard to ensure the event is unique and experience-driven, hoping to promote local makers and create an event that puts Vernon on the map a bit more for these sorts of events,” said Mayla Janzen, co-coordinator, who is also hoping to set up a Christmas movie room.
Food vendors like Samosa Joe, Tacos and Tos, Yeti Kettlecorn and Tio Mateo’s coffee will curb hunger and cravings amid all the shopping.
“Throughout the event, you’ll be immersed in a festive wonderland of decorations that will transport you to a world of holiday magic, the atmosphere will be nothing short of enchanting,” said Janzen.
The market is open Friday 5 to 8 p.m., all day Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
