Family Day fun starts today around the Central Okanagan

You don’t have to wait until Monday to enjoy free family fun

You don’t have to wait for Family Day to enjoy a weekend with the clan.

Family Day in the park

Celebrate Family Day at Kaloya Regional Park in Lake Country, from 12 to 3 p.m.

There will be a scavenger hunt and outdoor winter activities for the whole family.

To participate in the scavenger hunt download the Agents of Discovery App before arriving, staff will be there to help families get started. Paper scavenger hunt forms will be available as well.

Guided Tours of Our Lives

From Jan. 26 to April 13, enjoy weekly tours of Guided Tours of Our Lives Through Our Eyes: Nk’Mip Children’s Art Saturdays, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Okanagan Heritage Museum.

Our Lives Through Our Eyes: Nk’Mip Children’s Art brings together over 75 works of art created by children and youth who attended the Inkameep Day School during the era of the Second World War.

Party games at Parkinson Rec

Kick things off on Saturday night at Parkinson Activity Centre with the free Family Dance Party including a DJ, face painting, photo booth, prizes and refreshments from 6 to 8:30 p.m. On Family Day Monday, grab your passport to fun at the Capital News Centre from 1 to 4 p.m. for free skating, winter sport demonstrations and family soccer.
