More than 2,000 teddy bears were donated to Kelowna General Hospital by the Kelowna Rockets and its fans on the weekend as the Rockets held its first ever Teddy Bear toss.

Fans tossed bears on the ice when the Rockets scored its first goal on Friday night (in a 3-1 win over Everett) and the Rockets dropped the bears off at Kelowna General Hospital on Saturday.

KGH will use the teddy bears to give out to children who are in hospital during the Christmas season.
