Raiders to battle ‘Rocks in final

A default by Kamloops has Kelowna challenging for the senior lacrosse title

The Kelowna Raiders didn’t qualify for the 2017 Thompson Okanagan Senior Lacrosse League playoffs but are still getting a crack at claiming the Rowcliffe Cup title.

Due to a default by the Kamloops Rattlers, the Raiders have accepted a playoff challenge from the Armstrong Shamrocks.

The best-of-five league championship final will begin tonight at the NorVal Centre in Armstrong.

Game 2 is set for Friday night at Memorial Arena, with a 7:30 p.m. face off.

The Raiders have bolstered their roster for the series with the addition of two players from Kamloops.

The series schedule:

Game 1—Wednesday, July 5 @ Armstrong 7:30 p.m.

Game 2—Friday, July 7 @ Kelowna, 7:30pm

Game 3—Wednesday, July 12@ Armstrong, 7:30 p.m.

Game 4—Friday, July 14 @ Kelowna, 7:30 p.m. *

Game 5—Saturday, July 15 @ Armstrong, 7:30 p.m. *
