Raiders home to ‘Rocks for Game 2

The Kelowna Raiders will host the Armstrong Shamrocks Friday in Game 2 of the Thompson Okanagan Senior Lacrosse League final. Face-off at Memorial Arena is 7:30 p.m.

The Raiders trail the best-of-five Rowcliffe Cup final 1-0 after a 12-3 loss to the ‘Rocks in Wednesday’s opener at the NorVal Centre.

Kelowna’s defence had its hands full with Armstrong shooters and only the outstanding goaltending of Graham Cousins, who made 69 stops, prevented the score from being more lopsided

Brett Hawrys led the Shamrocks attack with four goals.

Vic Wiens scored twice for Kelowna, while Pho Heng added the single.

The Raiders, who finished the regular season without a playoff spot, accepted a challenge from Armstrong to play in the final after the Kamloops Rattlers forfeited their berth.
