Letter: Politicians opening a can of worms with Kelowna’s drug problem

“Also with the fentanyl problem, I don’t see why they are killing their customers off…”

To the editor:

I am writing this in regard to our drug problem, as one person did a couple of days ago. As to the practice of safe injection sites, I’ll say if they came in, that is, for one thing, I don’t think they should be given needles to take with them, use, and discard any place they think.

As for the street, the dealers they catch, they should not be let out on to the street, but held and charged with attempted murder, there are enough people dying to justify this.

Also with the fentanyl problem, I don’t see why they are killing their customers off, seems pretty stupid to me. Also one more thing, whoever came up with the brains to create edibles with marijuana in them, how careless does a parent have to be to forget to put these away when there are children present?

I know of some little ones who if knowing there was something “good to eat” would and could climb whatever was there to get at them. The ones they show on TV look very tempting. These are just a few of my thoughts and I think many would agree, not all, of course, especially our politicians, I don’t think they have any idea what kind of can of worms they have opened.
