To the editor:
I believe there would be little opposition to state Christy Clark's position as Premier of B.C. leaves much to be desired.
First: She has done nothing of any consequence to better health care. In fact, B.C. health care has degraded to a dangerous level as I along with others have been subjected to these atrocious conditions, not to mention the draconian act of pay parking and punishments of patients at hospitals which is put upon the backs of the sick and disabled of B.C.
Next: She has allowed ICBC to become an overlord of the B.C. public under the disguise of auto insurance. This kind of autonomous power is not acceptable in our alleged democratic society.
Finally: Christy Clark has done nothing to discourage public abuses continually perpetrated by the out of control RCMP. She is well aware of the many letters and protests demanding the discharge of this group, and establishing a B.C. provincial force that would be accountable directly to the people of B.C. instead of England.
However, not all is lost or negative, at least in the Okanagan and her riding in Westbank.
I must commend her on a much-acclaimed repaving of the roads between Penticton and Kelowna.
In the near future, maybe she should consider applying for the position of Minister of Highways where her skills of leadership and concerns for public welfare are obviously much more suited.
