Margaret passed away peacefully at home in the early morning of Feb 1, 2018 at the age of 87. She felt blessed to be surrounded and cared for by her family and friends until she departed to continue her journey with her beloved husband, Bill, (predeceased Nov. 1965).
Marg was a loving mother to four children, Grams to her 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many family friends. She was the third of ten children, of whom she was predeceased by six siblings. To her, family, both blood and chosen, always came first.
She will be remembered by many for her faith, her caring nature, her generosity and her humour. Even throughout the last weeks of her life, she maintained her keen wit and a sense of calmness that comforted those around her. Many visits ended with laughter, a feeling of peace and a knowing that this parting would only be temporary.
A service for Marg will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 at St. Edward's Church, Winfield, BC. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com.
