September 2, 1961 - June 22, 2024

In Loving Memory ~

It is with much sadness that the family of Kenneth (Ken) John Dehnke announces his very unexpected passing on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024, from natural causes. He was 62. Ken was born on the 2nd of September 1961 in Winfield, BC.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Dorothy Dehnke, and older brothers, Gordon, and Wayne.

Ken is survived by his sister, Darlene, and brother, Will, sisters-in-law, Angie, Sandy, and Pat, brother-in-law, Paul, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Ken worked through life's challenges; he grew into a happy and very helpful, independent young man. Always willing to help and lend a hand, whenever he could. He obtained his Driver's License, which gave him his independence and allowed him to set up his own business, collecting recycling and waste from numerous faithful clients, including local seniors and businesses.

In recent years Ken rededicated himself to learning to read and write, and he was so very proud of his progress and accomplishments. Ken enjoyed participating in numerous events in the Winfield area. He loved playing Santa Claus for several organizations, groups, and families during the Christmas period. This was always something he looked forward to every year.

The family would like to thank the entire Lake Country (Winfield) community for their love and care for Ken over the years. You all made him a part of your lives and we know that he loved you all for that. Thank you as well to the Lions, Rotary, and other service clubs and community groups, who welcomed Ken's participation over the years.

Details about a service are still to be decided.
