Judy Jean Winder, 71, of Kelowna BC, passed at The Kelowna General Hospital on June 29, 2018, with her family by her side.
She was born in Weyburn Sask. on March 29, 1947, and she was the middle child of three daughters to Lloyd and Helen Smith.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and younger sister Jen Garland. She is lovingly remembered by her surviving family: husband Luke Winder, daughters Dawn (Steven) Heiss, Cindy (Tim) Simpson, son Richard Winder, older sister Joyce (Dennis) Onstad, grandchildren Christopher, David, Rebecca, and Kimberly, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Judy loved bowling and had many trophies and plaques from when she lived in Weyburn, and she continued bowling in leagues when she moved out to the Okanagan Valley. Judy also loved playing bingo and went every Wednesday in her community.
There will be no funeral service at her request. She was cremated at Everden Rust Funeral Services & Crematorium Kelowna BC, and her burial will be held at Green Acres Memorial Garden, Weyburn Sask. There will be a Celebration of Life for Judy at a later date.
