Doris Pauline Blomquist-Shields passed away peacefully August 28, 2019 in Kelowna, BC. Doris was born in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan and spent her childhood in the small towns of Arundal and LaChute Quebec of which she had fond memories.
She worked several years in Toronto before moving to Lake Country in the early 1970's. In Lake Country, she pursued her passions in life; a love for her pets and animals, fitness, volunteering for many years at Winfield Elementary, socializing with friends, skiing, and swimming at Kaloya Park.
We would like to thank all of her caring nurses and care workers at Sun Pointe Village where she resided for the past year. We take comfort in her peaceful passing and that she is now reunited with her parents Ernest and Emma Blomquist. She was a kind, loving soul who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
