March 4, 1931 - January 12, 2019
Bill passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 87. He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years Dee, and his granddaughter Keri Lee.

He leaves behind a legacy of love in his 4 daughters Wendy (Curtis), Kay, Meg (Bob) Denise (Jim) his 11 grandchildren and his 20 great grandchildren. Bill was born in Hyde, England and was one of 10 children.

In 1975 at the age of 44 he immigrated to Oyama with his wife and daughters. He spent over 30 years in Oyama, he was a volunteer fireman for over 10 years, he loved nothing more than spending time with his family on his boat, teaching everyone and anyone how to water ski.

He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always good for a laugh. He loved hockey, boxing, motorcycles and playing his guitar. He spent over a decade in the Winfield hockey rink and could always be heard cheering on his grandsons and team mates. Nothing was more important to him than his family. He dedicated so much time and love to each and every member of his clan. He truly was one of a kind and will be so very missed by so many.

A celebration of life will be held this summer in Cherryville for family and close friends. If you would like to share a memory or leave a message for Bills family, please go to dignity memorial.com/obituaries.
