Water quality advisory lifted

Decision impacts Lake Country residents on Okanagan Lake source

The District of Lake Country in conjunction with Interior Health has lifted the water quality advisory on the Okanagan Lake source effective immediately.

This includes the following roads:

 Beaver Lake Road  Janet Road  OK Centre East from Hwy 97 to Read

 Berry Road  Jardine Road  Ottley Road

 Bottom Wood Lake Road  Jensen Road  Pollard Road

 Brun Road  Jim Bailey Road  Powley Court

 Clement Road  Jolinda Court  Pretty Road (10910-11286)

 Copperhill Subdivision  Kel-Vern Crescent  Reimche Road

 Eva Road  Kel-Win Road  Redecopp Court

 Glenmore Rd from Hwy 97 to Read  Konschuh Road  Roberts Road

 Glenmore Road (9231-9525)  Lakes Subdivision, The  Rogers Road

 Granite Road  Main Street  Stubbs Road

 Grant Road  McCarthy Road  Taiji Court

 Harwood Road  McCoubrey Road  Wilson Road

 Heritage Road  Mountview Road  Winview Road

 Hill Road  Newene Road  Woodsdale Road

"We are pleased to report that recent upgrades to the Okanagan Lake pump house, including new chlorination equipment and pump system have resulted in improved reliability and water quality," said Greg Buchholz, operations manager.

"Please note that the water quality advisory for users served by Beaver Lake source is still in place."
