Water quality advisory for Beaver Lake source

Boil water notice downgraded to water quality advisory for Beaver Lake source.

The District of Lake Country in conjunction with Interior Health has downgraded the recent Boil Water Notice back to a Water Quality Advisory effective 2:42 p.m. Thursday, July 30.

Recent testing and monitoring has shown water quality has improved and disinfection (chlorine) levels have recovered.

Interior Health recommends that children, the elderly, people with weakened immune systems and anyone seeking additional protection drink boiled water or a safe alternative until further notice.

For these at-risk populations, water intended for drinking, washing fruits or vegetables, making juice or ice, or brushing teeth should be boiled for one minute.”
