Two separate collisions slowed the traffic commute Friday morning.

About 8:40 a.m. a car and a Dodge truck collided on Springfield Road near Gordon Drive. One lane was closed headed west while emergency crews remained on scene.

Witnesses say the incident appears to have been a rear-end crash, it’s unclear if there were any injuries.

Then just before 9 a.m. a car and SUV were involved in a two vehicle crash at Gordon Drive and K.L.O. Road.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Witnesses at this incident say the SUV crashed into a light standard and lost a tire.

It’s unclear if anyone was taken to hospital.

Both Gordon and KLO were back up with traffic while police investigated.

More information to follow.
