Traffic delays along Coquihalla

Motorists can expect serious delays on the Coquihalla after two accidents this afternoon.

Motorists can expect serious delays on the Coquihalla after two accidents this afternoon.

An accident near the Zopkios exit south of the Coquihalla summit has backed up traffic headed southbound. DriveBC reports motorists can expect at least a 30-minute delay due to traffic congestion.

Just south of that, an earlier accident in the northbound lanes near Box Canyon shut the highway northbound for a short period of time, however significant delays are still affecting traffic in that area.

Motorists are being asked to leave extra time, drive slow and expect delays.
