WALC informs the public that fire mitigation work is currently under way on Spion Kop Mountain above The Lakes subdivision.
Due to logging taking place along the first half kilometer, Arrowleaf Trail (yellow trail markers) is currently unusable.
This trailhead is accessed near the upper water tank on Apex Drive.
The first part of the trail has been temporarily moved and marked onto a shared motorbike trail for approximately half a kilometer where it then rejoins the old trail.
Walkers and motorbikers are asked to please use caution on this shared trail.
WALC will reactivate the original trail once logging has been completed.
