Lake Country's Halloween event is a combined district and regional district affair on Monday.

With the arrival of the popular Regional District of Central Okanagan annual Halloween celebration in Lake Country this year, a shuttle has been organized to help deal with parking issues at Beasley and Reiswig parks in Lake Country.

The Spooktacular Pumpkin Walk is being held on Monday, Oct. 31, in partnership with Halloween events with the District of Lake Country.

Residents can drop off creatively-carved pumpkins, with an LED tea light, at Reiswig Regional Park (next to Beasley Park) between 4 and 5 p.m. on Halloween evening.

Residents can then dress in their Halloween costumes and from 5 to 8 p.m. walk the paths lit by pumpkins in Reiswig and cast a vote for the best pumpkins, based on scariest, cutest, funniest etc.

Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged.

Overflow parking is available at the Woodsdale Tennis Courts on Woodsdale Road.

There will also be a shuttle bus running be- tween the park sites and George Elliott Sec  ondary School.

The first shuttle bus will leave the school park  ing lot at 5 p.m. while the last shuttle will leave at 8:50 p.m. from Beasley and Reiswig parks and return to the school. Motorists are asked to please watch for signs and flag personnel and keep your eyes peeled for all pedestrians, especially those wearing costumes.
