Update: Two men arrested for stealing gas in Black Mountain

UPDATE: Kelowna RCMP has told Capital News that they responded to a report of a theft of gas from a constuction site in the Black Mountain Area. The suspect vehicle, a U-Haul, fled the scene and stopped in the area of Highway 33 and Pyman Road where the three occupants of the U-Haul fled on foot.

With the assistance of their police dog services, the RCMP apprehended a 35-year old man and a 39-year old man. They are facing possible charges of theft under $5,000 and fleeing from police.

There was a strong police presence in the Black Mountain area of Kelowna on the morning of April 6.

Video received by Capital News indicated five RCMP vehicles on scene, accompanied by what sounded like a helicopter. Officers seemed to be using a flashlight to search the area.
