Peachland council is hosting an open house and BBQ as part of a promise to the community.
“We promised them more transparency, openness and communication,” said Mayor Patrick Van Minsel. “It’s an opportunity for our residents to come and speak with us also. This is the first one and we’re going to do them on a regular basis.”
The public will be able to speak with district staff from different departments as well.
The event features free burgers and hot dogs, activities for all ages, prize draws and giveaways.
It takes place Thursday, June 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Peachland Community Centre. Mayor Van Minsel will give an address at 6:30 p.m.
