Northern Lake Country wakes up with no power

Customers are expected to regain power at 3 p.m.

More than 1,500 B.C. Hydro customers in Lake Country woke up to a power outage on Friday morning (May 6).

The affected area is from The Lakes community down to Robinson Road.

The power outage started at 1:26 a.m. and according to B.C. Hydro, a fire caused the outage. Crews are on-scene and power is expected to be back on at 11:30 a.m.

B.C. Hydro’s last update came at 8:06 a.m.

Lake Country Calendar will be monitoring the outage throughout the day.
