Update - Power restored in Northern Lake Country

Update - Power has been restored in the area according to B.C. Hydro’s website.

On Saturday (May 7) and for the second consecutive morning, some residents of northern Lake Country woke up to a power outage.

The power went out at 6:54 a.m., leaving 3,537 customers without power. The cause is under investigation.

B.C. Hydro crews are on site.

According to B.C. Hydro, the power will be back on at approximately 9:45 a.m. The last update came at 9:25 a.m.

1,517 customers in the same neighbourhood were without power on Friday, May 6, from 1:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m due to a fire.
