More money coming for UBC Okanagan

It looks more money is heading UBC Okanagan’s way.

A news conference has been called for the Kelowna campus Friday to announce what’s being called “significant federal/provincial funding” that will benefit students, faculty and staff at the university.

The announcement will be made by Kelowna-Lake Country MP Stephen Fuhr on behalf of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada Minister Navdeep Bains, and Kelowna-Lake Country MLA Norm Letnick on behalf of B.C. Advanced Education Minister Andrew Wilkinson.

No details have been released yet as to how much money is being given, where its from or what it’s for.
