Drivers are facing major delays along the Trans-Canada Highway between Revelstoke and Golden, due to poor highway conditions.
DriveBC warned drivers Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 6) to expect congestion on the main mountain highway. It said poor road conditions are to blame for the delays, after snow and rainfall overnight left several sections of the highway caked in hard-packed snow.
This, DriveBC said, has made for slippery and bumpy driving and forced travellers to slow down.

The worst of the delays are between Rogers Pass and the Golden weigh-in station, a more than 50-km stretch. After Rogers Pass, the road improves, allowing the traffic to dissipate.
