A 45-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl face charges after police found a stolen car and a stolen motorcycle in Kelowna Thursday night.

A man has been rushed to hospital in serious condition following a motorcycle crash on Highway 97 in Lake Country.

The Lake Country RCMP responded to a report of a serious injury motorcycle collision June 18 at 12:11 p.m., on Highway 97 approximately five kilometres north of Oceola Road in Lake Country.

"Police have determined that a black Honda motorcycle was south bound on Highway 97 when its rider lost control of the bike and landed over the embankment on the west side of the highway," said Const. Jesse O'Donaghey, in a press release.

"The motorcyclist, a 30-year-old Lake Country man, was found unconscious at the scene. Bystanders, including an off duty nurse and members of the RCMP performed CPR on the victim for several minutes while awaiting the arrival of emergency medical services. The victim was rushed to hospital where he remains in grave condition."

An RCMP collision re-constructionist attended to perform a detailed analysis of the crash scene. Initial findings at the scene suggest that speed may have been a contributing factor in the crash.

The RCMP continue to investigate this crash and ask that witnesses, who have not yet spoken to police, contact Cst. Katrina Claypool of the Lake Country RCMP at 250-766-2288.
