The annual Kelowna Pride week events kick off today.

The Kelowna Pride Society is already planning this year’s festivities.

In order to evolve the event the society is asking for feedback from the community.

There will be two sessions where residents can meet face to face with the society and get involved in the society’s future.

For those who cannot attend one of the two sessions in person they can complete an online survey.

The new board, who will be elected at the Annual General Meeting Jan. 31, will take the information from this survey as well as the in person sessions to build a sustainable strategy and direction moving forward with an external consultant. Registration is required.

In person sessions

  1. Jan. 24 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Okanagan CoLab (doors open at 5 p.m.)
  2. Feb. 2 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Okanagan College (doors open at 9:30 a.m.)

Funds have been provided by the City of Kelowna to hire external consultant, Kerry Rempel, to facilitate the discussions and lead the strategic planning process. CoLab has donated the space for the planning session on the 24.
