Kelowna Made will return this summer.

The all-ages community celebration, which debuted in 2022, will be held in City Park on August 26. The 2023 edition is being expanded to include some activities in Kerry and Stuart parks.

Kelowna Made is a homegrown event with the goal of showcasing the city’s attributes and bringing the community together.

“The volunteers on the host committee are excited to be able to bring Kelowna Made back for year two and to put some smiles on their neighbours’ faces this August,” said Sarah Semeniuk, event services coordinator with the city. “The event has

been built out of consultation with the community, and there really will be a little something for everyone.”

Attendees can expect family-friendly events including:

  • Kelowna Made Belly Flop Championship;
  • Family sandcastle-building competition;
  • Indigenous programming;
  • Dance by the Lake;
  • Artistic workshops and cultural performances;
  • Kelowna Made Fashion Show;
  • Live music and food;
  • Sporting events;
  • A Parks Alive! Street Dance and more.

More information, and volunteer opportunities, can be found on the Kelowna Made website.
