The MP for Kelowna-Lake Country has started a petition to make it easier for Ukrainian refugees to find permanent residency in Canada.

Tracy Gray started the petition to call on government to make a permanent residency pathway for Ukrainians living in Canada under the Canadian-Ukrainian Authorization for Emergency Travel provisions that does not require them to have a Canadian citizen or permanent resident family member in Canada.

The petition sits at the entrance of the Ukrainian Catholic Church on Coronation Avenue in Kelowna.

Those signing are asked to print legibly with their full name and contact information before Dec. 8.

Anyone who would like to learn more about the petition can contact Tracy Gray’s office at (250)470-5075.
