Full closures on Highway 1 are expected later in November as construction of the Bruhn Bridge ramps up in Sicamous.

Work on the Bruhn Bridge in Sicamous will ramp up in mid-November causing increasing road closures.

In a status update for Nov. 4 to 15, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI) said the bridge and Highway 1 will be open to traffic, with random delays of up to five minutes.

On Tuesday, Nov. 12, however, overnight single-lane alternating traffic is scheduled to start, with "intermittent full closures" set to begin later in the month, with exact dates yet to be confirmed. A detour will be available via Highway 97A and B.

Travellers can access current highway information throughout the project at DriveBC.ca
