A hiker had to be airliftef from the Enderby Cliffs.
Vernon Search and Rescue received a report Sunday at about 5 p.m. of a hiker with a suspected broken ankle at the three-kilometre mark on the Enderby Cliffs.
“The crew hiked into the subject and at the same time, our helicopter crew came,” said Pete Wise, search manager.
“The heli-winch was deployed and flew him to the ambulance.”
Sixteen members of the search unit were deployed during the event.
