Police in Lake Country are searching for a suspect after a Shell gas station was robbed on Friday, Oct. 25.
On Friday, just before 10 p.m., the Lake Country RCMP received a report of a robbery that had occurred at the Shell gas station located at the intersection of Highway 97 and Beaver Lake Road. A male suspect entered the store and pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the employee. The suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
General duty members from both Lake Country and Kelowna, along with a police service dog were unable to locate the suspect despite extensive patrols.
Suspect described as:
• Caucasian male
• 5 ft 8 in to 5 ft 9 in tall
• 210 pounds
• Wearing a black hooded sweater, black bandana over the face, sunglasses and gloves
• Carrying a black handgun.
