The Lake Country Garden Club held a ribbon cutting event on July 1 to commemorate the completion of a special garden contribution to the community.

The Canada 150 garden was created by garden club members with the support both of the district and Kel-Lake Greenhouses.

Mayor James Baker was on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony last Saturday at the garden site, located at the end of Pretty Road, behind the Lakewood Mall, adjacent to Highway 97 and north of Oceola Road.
