Kelowna Lake Country MP Stephen Fuhr got up and represented Lake Country in the House of Commons this week.
Speaking to the house, Fuhr said he had the pleasure of attending the Lake Country Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards last week in his riding.
Fuhr recognized the companies and individuals that were nominated for an award and acknowledged the winners:

Anne Leistner;
Dairy Queen;
UBR Services Printing & Copies;
Interior Savings;
Nalu Massage Therapy & Wellness;
Sip Happens Wine Tours;
Sun City Physiotherapy;
Neon Counselling;
and
Art Walk;
The Young Entrepreneur of the year went to Year Kim Chapman; and Business Person of the year was Garth McKay.
“Small businesses often play a bigger role in smaller districts as they increase both employment opportunities and quality of life for the entire community,” said Fuhr.
