Richard has a M.Sc Degree in Engineering, spending many years working in Canada, the US and Ireland. He also holds degrees in Music and Recording Arts, and is an accomplished musician, songwriter, filmmaker, and teacher.

He moved to Winfield to be closer to his family and to enjoy the Okanagan lifestyle. In his word:
