Children's theatre this weekend in Lake Country

On heels of successful Children's Festival, families urged to bring kids to live theatre this weekend.

Building upon the success of the Lake Country Indoor Children’s Festival, the Creekside Theatre has announced its first live theatrical show for family audiences this Sunday, April 17 at 3 p.m.

“As we launch into children’s theatre we wanted to make the show as accessible as possible so it will be a free event for the community in part due to a sponsorship from Interior Savings,” said cultural development coordinator Ryan Donn.  “We are considering launching a few children’s theatre shows this fall and this seemed like a great opportunity to catch a touring performance troupe to gauge the interest from the community.”

Theatre capacity is limited by the 250 seats available, so tickets must be reserved by calling 250-766-9309.  Each family is welcome to reserve up to a maximum of 6 tickets.

The show HAMELIN: A New Fable, is a comedic, heart-tugging musical retelling of The Pied Piper of Hamelin, featuring a cast of five professional actor/musicians using masks and puppets in Axis Theatre’s unique physical theatre style.
