Another dumpster fire ignited behind a building in Penticton, Monday morning.

This time fire crews were called to the parking lot across from 938 Churchill Avenue, at about 11:20 a.m.

The blaze was quickly extinguished, leaving behind a scorched dumpster and multiple materials scattering the area. It’s unclear if the fire started inside or outside the dumpster.

One person was arrested at the scene.

This dumpster fire is one of several reported in the city this month, after police reported several suspicious blazes had to be doused including three dumpster fires in the middle of the night on June 5.
